RESIDENTIAL - Interior and Exterior

If commercial work is the heart of Berkshire Painting, residential painting is the soul. We love making a home look pristine and new! We don't just work for our residential clients - we work with them. Many of our clients are struggling with budgets that don't stretch far enough to do everything at once. We’ll paint the exterior trim one year and the siding the next, or we’ll tackle the porches and decks, saving the trim for next year. We apply the same policies to interior work. We want to help you paint and protect your home when it needs it!

When I quote the estimated amount of time it will take to complete your job, I am actually estimating the number of “man hours”. For example, if I say it will take two weeks for one man to paint the outside of your home, this translates into one man working eight hours a day for 10 days, or 80 man hours. If I bring a crew of two men, the job will take half as long, or one week. If I bring three men, we can probably complete the job in 27 hours or about three and a half days. The more men I put on the job, the fewer days it takes to do the work.

To help me give you a really fast, accurate estimate, please take the time to answer the following questions before you call:
✐ What is the area you need painted? Measure and write down the size – length, width and height of the building or rooms.
✐ How many and kind of windows are there? Write down the number and approximate sizes of the windows along with a description, i.e., the number of panes, and so on.
✐ How much and what kind of trim is there?
✐ Will the job involve hanging and/or removal of wallpaper?
✐ Is there any other information that you think we'll need to know about the job?
